1984 Harley XLX Ironhead Sportster

Doug from Northeast Ohio, United States sent us these photographs of his awesome 1984 Harley XLX Ironhead Sportster.
Doug: "I bought this bike in 1992. When purchased I put on a bigger tank, a bob rear fender, a new Mustang seat, drag bars, and a new speedometer. I put in a new battery last season. When I put in the new speedometer the old one had about 10,600 miles on it. The new one has 6,124. So the mileage is approx. 16,700. I have the tank the bike came with and the original rear fender. The color of the bike looks black, but in the sun you can see the color black cherry / deep plum."

1984 HD Ironhead Engine
Starting with the model year 1972, all Harley Ironhead Sportsters were 1000cc capacity. Before that it was 883cc.

When Doug purchased the bike he put on a bigger tank, a bob rear fender, a new Mustang seat, drag bars, and a new speedometer.
