1970 Harley XLH Ironhead Sportster
In February 2009 we received the first email from "the Gooch" about his 1970 Harley XLH Ironhead Sportster project. Now, November 2009, we thank him for this update:
The Gooch: "UPDATE!!!! This is the 1970 XLH 900 custom. New pics: New rocker boxes (correct for a 70, last year no notch), new shocks, 12" mini apes, pipes, sissy bar, coil, plug wires, paint job and jugs, pistons , and heads from a 1000cc."
Status of this 1970 XLH Project in February 2009:
In February 2009 we wrote:
"The Gooch", who currently is attending school in Orlando, Florida, United States, earning his Harley OEM Tech certification (!), sent us these photographs of his beautiful 1970 Harley XLH Ironhead Sportster.
The Gooch: "This is the 1970 XLH 900 custom. Kicker, points/coil ignition, one of 3,033 produced. Resurrected in fall of 2008 after being outdoors and pretty trashed for an unknown number of years. A lot of work has been done, a lot more to come."
