1969 Harley XLCH Sportster
Thank God There's Harleys... So, let's show them!
Dick from Biddeford, Maine, USA made available these photographs of his gorgeous 1969 Harley XLCH Sportster which - not at all surprisingly - has the 883cc Ironhead engine with kick start only.
Dick: "Here are a few photos of my Harley Sporty. I added a bit of chrome but have all of the cad plated components. The bike was stored in a shed for a number of years but all of the components were there. I have the Tillotson Carb, but now have a Bendix Carb on the bike for ease of starting. Yes the paint and tank emblems are original. I did paint the frame, swingarm and oil tank."
The original paint on Dick's 1969 Sporty is 40 years old now, yet looks in real good condition.

Close up of the power source...
The Harley XLCH type Sportsters of the sixties and seventies of the last century typically have the oil tank that resembles a small jerrycan.
And kick start only, of course.
